OCTCO or TASCO What is this and why is it necessary for a seaman

OCTCO or TASCO are both marine courses,

This course is very important for a seaman working on a tankers ship.

In this course you are taught how to avoid accidents.

After doing this course, a certificate is obtained which is called DCE (Danger cargo endocement).

Full form of OCTCO, TASCO or DCE :-

OCTCO :- basic training of oil and chemical tanker cargo operations 

TASCO :- tactical automatic switch control officer 

DCE :- danger cargo endrocement

Although all seaman can do this course but it is very important for seaman working on tankers to do this course.


doing all these courses, you had to have a sailing experience.

But now if you are a fresher and are preparing to go on ship for the first time, you can still do this course.

This course gives preparing to every junior  official, evaluations, cadets and any official individual appointed obligations and duties identified with the load or freight gear on oil big haulers ship. 


:- All Seafarers and who have finished a 

Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF)

:- Elementary First Aid (EFA)

:- Holder of Passport, INDoS, CDC 



:- Copy of CDC (with cruising experience and some time no need experience)

:- Photocopy of CoC (If Applicable)

:- Photocopy of INDoS

:- Photocopy of Passport

:- 2 Passport Size Color Photos of candidate


100% attendance is needed for fruitful fulfillment of the course.

Progressed Training for Oil Tanker Cargo OperationsTASCO is an obligatory course for getting level - II Oil Tanker Endorsement (Dangerous Cargo Endorsement), which is a prerequisite under STCW Chapter V/1 for all officials needing to serve on board indicated Tankers (Management level), likewise such work force probably finished the Tanker Familiarization course and have experience proper to their obligations on oil big haulers with quick duty regarding the stacking, releasing and care on the way or treatment of Oil Cargos
